“OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH THE WORLD IS DETERMINED BY OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH OURSELVES”
Getting Started
Today, we live in a world where we all lead busy lives, and taking that first step to get help can feel overwhelming. The therapeutic relationship is a space where we can create new solutions for old problems. My clients say this process can be very “empowering” and that they appreciate my “upfront, yet compassionate and thoughtful approach.” While understanding and validation are key elements of my work, providing structure and feedback helps guide the process. Sometimes, we need to delve deeper and challenge ourselves to address feelings and behaviors at their core. I foster an empathically supportive environment for this deeper exploration, without it feeling overwhelming.
In life, work, business, and love, I work with individuals and partners—both romantic and professional—to explore and resolve conflicts. Together, we will identify obstacles that limit growth and create stuck patterns of behavior. We’ll keep what works and find new ways to forge different paths, it's never too late to develop entirely new ways of thinking. When you’re able to change your thoughts and feelings, you’ll effectively reconstruct your brain’s neurochemistry, and this leads to long-lasting change.
Couples & Partner Work: I have an approach that I have developed for Couples/Partners that is based in a methodology that borrows from IFS, Gottman, and Trauma and Body-Based therapies. Often I do this work with the people in the relationship together, and sometimes the work is one on one, in individual therapy, where you can learn about yourself, and bring that work into the relationship.
I have twenty years of working with individuals, couples/partners, groups and families. Using CBT, EMDR, ACT, IFS, CSAT, psychodynamic, KAP and solution-focused therapies, I address issues like depression, anxiety, ADHD, Parenting, work and life challenges, in addition to more specific relationship problems, such as trust and relationship problems, intimacy, trauma, emotional betrayal, and addictive behaviors. My approaches include both brief and long-term therapy to provide tailored support.
I am now providing Therapy and Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) at the Wibeto Practice in Chicago.
“I believe that together, we can alter the landscape in which the problems occur, and most importantly, you can change the outcome”
My expertise lies in relationships, behavior, and conflict. Sometimes, clients don't have a specific outcome in mind—they just want to feel better or get unstuck. I work with you to quickly get to the heart of the matter. Whether our work is brief or long-term, addressing the root of the problem helps you gain deeper insight into yourself and your behavior. This understanding allows you to see how your choices impact your mood, well-being, thinking, behavior, and relationships. Gaining insight and changing your thoughts and behaviors are crucial for building lasting change and having major breakthroughs. Types of problems I address →
